Question 1

Does Alchrist build handmade custom guitars and basses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Alchrist electric guitar and bass is a handmade custom instrument, built one at a time in our workshop in Lefkovrisi, Greece. We shape each build around the player's sound, feel, specifications, and visual direction.

Question 2

How much will an instrument cost?

Accepted Answer

Every Alchrist instrument is priced by quote — there is no public fixed price list. Cost depends on the model, tonewoods, hardware, electronics, and any extras you choose. Share your vision through the enquire form and we will send a clear quote.

Question 3

How long does a build take?

Accepted Answer

A typical commission takes about six months from deposit to shipment. Queue depth and the complexity of your specs can move that earlier or later — we confirm timing when we quote.

Question 4

How does the commission process work?

Accepted Answer

Enquire with your ideas → we refine the specification together → you place a deposit → we build and set up the instrument → we ship it securely to you.

Question 5

Can I customize woods, finish, hardware, and pickups?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Woods, finish, hardware, and pickups are discussed during the commission so the build matches your playing and aesthetic. We guide you toward options that work structurally and sonically.

Question 6

Do you ship worldwide?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Instruments ship securely worldwide from Lefkovrisi, Greece. Packaging and shipping details are confirmed before your build leaves the workshop.

Question 7

Do you offer setup, warranty, and aftercare?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer setup and adjustment, refinishing, electronics work, and lifetime support for Alchrist owners. See the Service page for details, or contact the workshop with your instrument.

Question 8

Can I visit the workshop?

Accepted Answer

Visits are welcome by appointment at the workshop in Lefkovrisi, Kozani, Greece. Reach out through the contact form to arrange a time.
